Fisherman's Playbook - Book Design And Community Engagement 

Fisherman’s Playbook is a deeply personal and research-driven project that stemmed from my time spent with the fisherfolk community in Kochi, Kerala. Immersing myself in their world, I listened to their stories, struggles, and deep-rooted knowledge of the sea—their age-old fishing techniques, the rhythms of their daily lives, and the challenges they face in an evolving world. This experience shaped every aspect of the book, from its typography and color palette to the layout and imagery, all inspired by the textures of the fishing nets, the hues of the sea at dawn, and the vibrant culture of the coastal villages. The book is not just a documentation of their way of life but a tribute to their resilience, craftsmanship, and the symbiotic relationship they share with the ocean. Through this project, I aimed to preserve their voices and traditions in a visually compelling and emotionally resonant way.
